“Living With Change” The Semantics of Coping by: Wendell Johnson–Harper and Row
I found it so significant that I paid a professional to read it on tape, this was in the mid 1970s, so that I could listen to the writing while I worked. I listen to it over and over for several years. I found the treatise filled with meaning.
On page 37 he poses three questions that he feels everyone should know – be aware of. He speaks of them as profound.
1. The first(for clarity) is:” what do you mean?”
2. The second (for validity) is:” how do you know?”
3. The third (for disciplined generalization) is:” what then?”
Exactly as they appear in the book.
I found the time exquisite.
